My mission was to craft a weekend retreat that seamlessly marries social spaces with intimacy while adhering to the community's construction guidelines and preserving the natural landscape.

In the final design, two private blocks thoughtfully positioned in parallel at each end of the lot, offer both -owners and visitors- privacy. At the heart of this retreat, a grand perpendicular social block stands as the centerpiece of the entire complex.

The gable roofs, thoughtfully integrated into the design, not only give a distinct identity upon the house but also define its most prominent spaces, achieving a harmonious balance in volume across the entire complex. We embraced the site's unique requirements, where over half of the roofs were mandated to have a minimum 33º incline, turning this constraint into a source of design value for the project.

This architectural piece unfolds as a series of interconnected boxes that generously open up through expansive side windows, ensuring constant visual engagement with the captivating outdoors. What's more, carefully positioned internal voids invite the lush greenery and abundant natural light to permeate every corner of the house. This interplay between the built environment and the natural world creates a weekend retreat like no other, where contemporary elegance meets secluded serenity.
